i really love this band. i would go to utah just to see them play in a laundrymat. haha, i remember in high school i had a friend who visited utah and her friend took her to a laundrymat to buy drugs....they must be the cool places to hang out up there. anyway, you can download their album, From Dumpsters Rise! on their myspace!

i cannot describe how much i love this girl, despite having only seen her twice. the first time, i was sitting on the floor of java jo'z getting my hair petted by a friend, my heart feeling fuzzy and delicious. her voice was the background to these memories. i talked to her after the show and she gave me lyrics...the second time, i had heard she was to play at the same place, so i went down, and ended up having a scandalous affair with her stepbrother. anyway, she's good. really lovely folky lyrics like jenny lewis or what jewel's writing probably sounded like before she got discovered...
